At kitchen
This year I need to develope on 4 new products, that was the tasks given by my dear manager. This consider a normal workload. Part of my role is to do product testing or product tasting. Today, I went to our sister company X Japanese Restaurant to run a test. The objectives:- 1. to cook the noodle sample 2. to define what is the best cooking time for it. Thus, I borrow their kitchen to run the test, the chef is very kind to allow me to use its facilities.
Different timing @ 3, 5, 7 & 9 mins with result of different noodle's texture, different colour.
After the test of different cooking duration, 9 mins cooked noodles was the best to eat. A young cook helped me to prepare it into Japanese style cold noodles. Later, I brought it back to office for team members to rate which supplier source that they think is the best. As usual, Joshua can't wait to eat these noodles. During the noodle tasting, someone asked me...
"Did you see a handsome man looks alike Nicolas Xie （谢霆锋）? He is very famous in X Japanese Restaurant."
"Is it? I didnt noticed that. Perhaps I didn't wear my spec thus can't see him clearly."
"Yes, he is very handsome like Nicolas Xie but work inside the kitchen as cook. So most of the time we hardly can see him in person. And, to enter the kitchen must get approval."
"Oh really... I will ask who is the one looks like him then. Wait! I have to return this to the restaurant."
"haha... you are funny, are u going to ask them who is the handsome guy?"
"Why not? I am dare to do so. I'll look for him"
So, I took lift down to ground floor to return those japanese meal set to them. Inside the kitchen, I asked the chief.
"My colleagues told me, there is a handsome cook looks like Nicolas Xie, which is the one? Why i didn't even noticed that?"
"haha... you didn't? He is really famous, most girls will scream & cry when they saw him. He is really good in singing, won most of the singing contest for the company."
"Huh... so geng! then i must take a look."
"haha... just call his name. Nicolas, someone wants to know you."
Then... he came, he is the guy who had spent with me in the kitchen for the past one hour. I was been busy cooking my noodles while he was busy frying Japanese style fried rice. We did had a short conversation inside the kitchen earlier on.
"Oh, you are the one famous with Nicolas Xie's nick name". He laughed with a shy face. The gang were teasing him to give me a signature so that I can show it to my office members. "Yeah, I want that." Later, I came back to office & told my colleagues about this finding. They said why I always missed out the important part, next time should open my eyes big big. LOL !!
“他们说我走宝，叫我回去反省一下，思考一反。唉！我的眼睛到底是在看什么？连帅哥都没看到。好！今晚放高枕头去想一下。”
